Do Not Be Afraid, Little Flock

Reflection

Jesus addresses His disciples as a little flock and tells them that their Father is pleased to give them the kingdom. The words sit among teaching about worry, generosity, and lasting treasure. The Father's pleasure in giving calls His people toward a life with different priorities: seeking His kingdom, loosening their grip on possessions, and caring for those in need.

Fear can make us hold tightly to whatever seems secure. Today, practice one small act of trust. Give something useful, offer your time, or choose generosity where anxiety urges you to close your hand. Take these words back into their setting in Luke 12. Let the tenderness of Jesus' address steady you as you follow the Father whose kingdom is worth seeking.
